How does Ceres work out my budget?
Your savings goal and fixed costs (rent, fees, bills, installments, subscriptions) come off your period income first; what’s left is your spendable budget. It is split over the days left, and how the period will close at today’s pace is recalculated every day.
Why a pay period instead of a calendar month?
Money arrives on payday, not on the 1st. When the period starts that day and runs to the next payday, “left” and “safe to spend daily” show the money you really have. Even if a weekend moves the salary earlier, the period doesn’t shift.
How do I add spending? Do I need to connect my bank?
No — Ceres doesn’t connect to your bank and never asks for your bank password. Add spending by hand in a few taps, by photographing a receipt, or by uploading your card statement as PDF, Excel or CSV. Rent, bills and subscriptions are set up once and logged every period on their own.
Can I keep track of subscriptions and installments?
Yes. Recurring payments are logged every period; for installments you see what’s left to pay and the last payment date. When a subscription gets more expensive, Ceres tells you along with what it adds up to in a year, and reminds you before payday by notification or, if you like, in your phone’s calendar.
Where do the offers come from? Are my bank’s offers included?
Ceres gathers bank and brand offers every day: the reward, the card it needs, the conditions and the last day to join. The ones that match the cards in your wallet are set apart, and the best earners for your spending sit on top. For offers you join, the earnings and cap are tracked. Offers for your cards are part of Premium.
What is Wrapped, and can I share it?
At the end of every period you get a report card, and at the end of every quarter and year a Wrapped: where most of your money went, your longest streak, your savings and what offers earned you. Before sharing, “Hide amounts” hides every amount. The full close and Wrapped are part of Premium.
What are Ceres AI and Ask Ceres?
Ceres AI is a personal finance assistant that answers questions about your spending from your own records: why it went up, when it ends, where you can save. Only the summary data relevant to your question is used. Ask Ceres is included in Premium and Family Premium.
How does the free period work?
You use Premium or Family Premium free for your first full period. No card is required and nothing is charged when it ends; if you want to continue, you pick a plan. The Free plan is always free: manual entry, budgets, recurring payments and basic analysis included.
In the family plan, who sees what?
Family Premium covers up to 4 people with one subscription. Whoever creates the family is its admin; everyone in it sees the shared budget, spending and shared payments. Invited members pay nothing extra.
Is my data safe? Can I delete my account?
Your data is stored on servers in Europe over encrypted connections; there are no ads and your data isn’t sold. You can delete your account in the app: 30 days after the request your account and all records are permanently erased, and you can change your mind until then.
